Mr. Thrift was my grade 6 teacher at Glenwood school. I've always remembered him fondly. I'm so grateful to have had a lovely conversation with him last year. I tried to contact him a few weeks ago but there was no response.

Mr. Thrift was one of my all time favourite teachers, and was probably one of the reasons I chose the same profession, He would always play football withus at recess. Condolences to his family.
So sorry to hear. So many fond memories when we would visit. My dad, Uncle Jim and George Mullen would have drinking contests. He had such a great spirit.
