Obituary of John Holsey

Holsey, John November 27, 1948 - November 18, 2023 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of John Holsey at the age of 74 at Leamington Hospice, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Beloved husband of Bernice for 53 years, and wonderful son-in-law to Anne and Aurele Belanger. John was a great brother-in-law to Peggy and Stephen Baker, Janet and Frank Fregni, Julie and Ed Hogan. Uncle John was dearly loved by Katherine Baker, Alexandra and Anthony Fregni, and Ted, Amber and Carly Hogan and their partners, Steve, Melissa, Justin and Danny. John had many terrific friends who will miss him deeply as they enjoyed card games, wine- making, fishing and fun gatherings at his lakeside home. John was a world traveler and loved to chat with his quick wit, always with a joke or two in his pocket. John will be remembered for his kindness and generosity to everyone…family, friends and the community. He gave blood to Red Cross over 100 times. John retired from St Clair College where he counseled so many young people. He was simply a great guy who will be remembered as a blessing to all. A special thank you to Dr. A.Naeem, Neurosurgeon, and his team and the caring people at the Leamington Hospice who helped John and our family so much through this difficult time. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and the burial will be private. Donations to the Windsor Essex Hospice, in memory of John, would be welcomed.
