Obituary of Julie Dianne Elgie

ELGIE, Dianne Julie Julie passed away peacefully in the early hours of June 1, 2023 at Country Village Long Term Care Home in Woodslee , Ontario at age 52, after a long battle with a brain tumour. Julie was a kind, generous, and forgiving person who loved to volunteer her time and energy to the community. She was always helping others with a big smile on her face. Julie fought a brain tumour for over 17 years, and as things got more difficult, she fought back even harder. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and big blue eyes. The family finds peace knowing there are many loved ones whom she has missed waiting for her at Heaven's Gates. She is survived by her cherished husband Peter of 33 years. She was a dedicated, proud, and devoted Mom to Adrienne (Mackenzie DeLuca) and Christine (Douglass Cooper). Dear daughter to Jean Drain and the late Morris Redden. Beloved step-daughter to John Drain. Sibling to Greg and Pete. Daughter-in-law to Esther and Wesley Elgie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation.
