Obituary of Doreen Florence Ulian

On Friday, May 27, 2022, Mom decided she needed a rest and fell asleep in death in her 91st year. She was the third child of Ernest and Lottie Smith. Doreen met and fell in love with John Ulian and they married in 1951. The happy couple started a family the following year and five years later they were a family of six! They named their children Richard, John, Deborah and Darlene. John and Doreen were married for 70 years to the day. Doreen is survived by all four of her children, Rick (Pam), John (Rita), Debbie Taylor (Floyd) and Darlene Downing, her 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving Doreen are her sisters Jean Crowley and Judy Watson, her sisters-in-law Karen Smith and Mary Skinner and oh so many nieces and nephews. Mom is preceded in death by her beloved husband John (Sept 2021), her parents Ernest Smith, mother Lottie and step-father Alexander (Sandy) Hamilton, her siblings Bill Smith, Betty Ballantyne, Charles Smith and Alex Hamilton as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law. A memorial service will be held at 12:45 pm (EST) on Saturday, July 2, 2022 by means of Zoom video conferencing.
