Karen, you a re so missed by your family- your loss is so sudden yet I know you are at peace- no more toe pain, no more suffering- just rest. I have so many memories- from you driving downtown after the Tigers won the '68 world series- so long ago to camping trips at the Pinery and great fun at your house for Art in the Park every June. Rest in Peace. I know you will continue to watch over all of us from above. Give Skipper a kiss from us.

Karen was like an older sister that I never had growing up with Jan and her family. I could always talk with Karen and she always had great advice...she would take Jan and I all over Detroit taking us to great new places we never been to...best time was when she drove Jan, me and her car full of people around Detroit celebrating the Tigers winning the World Series in 1968! Karen loved her family and was extremely proud of her son and grandchildren...you will be deeply missed Karen by us all.

My favorite memories of aunt Karen are all the awesome sleepovers we had in Canada. It always meant going out to breakfast, going shopping, doing crafts, and going to “Kelsey’s” for dinners and free deserts. I will cherish all the memories she, uncle Dave, and I made when I was younger. The best was her “magic car” that would change the station when you would ask it to. Little did I know, she was controlling the radio behind the steering wheel the entire time. She was an amazing aunt and she will be forever missed. Love you aunt Karen <3

I remember very fun times with Karen especially when the kids were young. Fireworks and the freedom festival, art in the park,Valhalla, Toronto,of course the trip to the Pinery-who can even remember what went on at camp Dearborn..In 1964 Karen Charlie and Molly gave Frank and I am old fashion “chivalry “ at midnight the night we came home from our honeymoon-yikes! But mostly I will miss our phone calls, gossiping about everyone we know and solving the world problems- I will still gossip and complain to her -but now I won’t have to dial the phone.

I have known this wonderful woman for many years. She had a great sense of humour and a huge love for children and animals. She was a gentle soul and loved deeply and completely. I was honoured to call her my sister and friend. God bless you on your journey, Karen you will be greatly missed.

Grammy was the best grandma anyone could ask for. She is very happy in heaven right now, playing her solitaire and sleeping as she pleases. She lived a good life and was surrounded by her friends and family, who cared about her and loved her. This is a sad time for everyone, but we all are staying strong and getting through it. It is comforting to know that she is with all our relatives who have passed on.

My grandmother and I were very close. She was the most generous person I knew and I will never forget her immense generosity and devotion to family. She will be extremely missed and the countless memories we made together will never be forgotten. Ever since I was a little girl she has spent so much time and put so much effort into shaping me into the young woman I am today. She was and will continue to be a huge part of my life as she watches over all of us and guides us as we continue to grow together as a family. Although this is a sorrowful time in our lives, Grandma would want us to use this as an opportunity to become closer and lean on each other in this difficult time. She will forever be in our hearts.
