Obituary of Gary Affleck

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Gary Affleck on July 19, 2026, at 83 years of age.

Gary was the devoted husband and best friend of Sandra for 62 wonderful years, just days shy of celebrating their 63^rd wedding anniversary.

Proud and loving father to his children, Lisa (Gary Langlois), Ron Affleck (Lina) and is reunited with his beloved daughter, Karen Kane (1998).

Cherished Papa to Jennifer (Todd Stenback), Kristy (Cody Recsky), Linda (James Soulliere), Lisa (Kyle Hallock) and is also reunited with his dearly loved grandson, Robert Affleck (2021).

Proud Great-Papa of eight great-grandchildren and with one on the way.

Gary is predeceased by his parents, Ron and Rita Affleck, and late parents-in-law, Herman Goulet & Evelyn Suzana. Gary was also predeceased by his siblings,  late Robert Affleck, late Marilyn Tourangeau (Arnold), and late Joann Pohlman, as well as his siblings-in-law, Marlene Bozek (Butch), late Richard Goulet, late Leah Aston, and late Terry Goulet.

Gary will be dearly missed by his best friend, Ian McConnell, whose friendship meant the world to him.

After 31 years of dedicated service, Gary retired from Chrysler Canada. Retirement gave him more time to enjoy the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He loved gardening and took great pride in caring for his yard and watching things grow. Gary also looked forward to spending time camping in Gulf Shores, Alabama, where he enjoyed the warm sunshine, the outdoors, and creating treasured memories with Sandra.

As per Gary’s wishes cremation has taken place.
